Democrats have had a long winning streak in the state of Minnesota. While in control they imposed job-killing policies, high taxes, and oversaw social disarray. Now in 2020, Minnesotans are expected to turn the state red. This November, Minnesota will help Donald Trump lead the presidential election.

Upon Mike Pence’s visit to Duluth, 6 Iron-Range mayors announced their support for Trump-Pence reelection. The once loyally Democrat leaders acknowledged DFL policies were harming the business and livelihood of the Iron Range.

They state, “Like many in our region, we have voted for Democrats over many decades. We have watched as our constituents’ jobs left not only the Iron Range, but our country. By putting tariffs on our products and supporting bad trade deals, politicians like Joe Biden did nothing to help the working class… Today, we don’t recognize the Democrat Party. It has moved so far to the left it can no longer claim to be advocated for the working class. The hard-working Minnesotans that have been abandoned by radical Democrats. We didn’t choose to leave the Democratic Party, the party left us”.

Experts have pointed out that Minnesota has grown continuously Republican over the past few decades. 2016 was one particular inflection point. In comparison to 1984- Minnesota was rated to be 18.2% more Democrat than the rest of the nation. In 2016- they actually voted more Republican than the national average. This trend is expected to continue into 2020. Already, both presidential and senatorial races are close in call. After failing to lead- Democrats have lost their power over the state of Minnesota.
